even tho copan was really close to gracias. the drive took the whole day. these damn chicken busses have been sent from hell to torture me. no matter what you do or how far the next place is … it will always take 8 hours :)i stayed a few days in copan and i had one really bad loosing complete control drinking day. well it’s too late now for regrets. on the bright side copan was my first mayan site. the old structures are impressive and i had great weather when visiting them maybe even slightly too hot. in the end i did a one day afternoon hike through the park. u can easily walk from the town to the site.
